COVID-19 Update

March 23, 2020

At Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Center, we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation very closely. The health and wellbeing of our clients, staff, and practitioners are our highest priority.

As we navigate through these challenging times, we will be guided by the need to keep our community safe and in good health, while also being socially responsible.

As many of you are probably aware, on March 23 rd, the Governor of Massachusetts asked “non-essential” businesses to close their doors for the time being. As a result of this, Tai Chi Acupuncture and Wellness Center will continue to pause all yoga programs, classes, workshops, and any non-medical activities we offer. Acupuncture services will remain open in an effort to serve those seeking non-virus related medical attention.

As the COVID-19 situation progresses we have put in several safeguards and cleaning standards to protect our Acupuncture patients, practitioners, and staff. In an effort to practice social distancing, we have spaced client appointments farther apart, we have limited the staff in the office to only essential personnel (while paying others to work from home), and we are taking clients directly to private rooms, so there is no loitering in waiting rooms. Rooms are thoroughly disinfected between patients, and we have implemented a stringent office-wide disinfectant protocol. We are doing this in an abundance of caution to protect all parties. We do ask that if any client has flu or cold-like symptoms, or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, they postpone a visit to our facility. It is critically important that we remain socially responsible and help to slow the spread of this virus. We ask that you please help to keep our staff and practitioners safe so that they can provide the quality care you have come to expect from us.

While this pandemic is unprecedented, we are prepared for this challenge and will continue to monitor the situation daily. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the office. We are happy to answer any questions or deal with any concerns you might have. If no one answers, please keep in mind, we are working with limited staff and may miss calls from time to time. We will return any messages as soon as we can. Please check back periodically for updates as we manage this evolving situation.

As we face this global issue, we remain upbeat and committed to providing quality care for our patients. Our vision to create healthier happier people is still at the core of who we are. We thank all of you for sticking with us through these difficult times and thank you in advance for your cooperation. We will get through this together.

Sincerest thanks,

The Tai Chi Acupuncture & Wellness Team
